Love riding bikes but not got time to plan a cycling holiday, or daunted by the logistics? Looking to ride with like-minded folk? Or just happy to let the experts organise the best possible tour? Pedal Nation runs fully supported cycling holidays across the UK, Europe and Asia (an area of the world where we have strong personal connections), with graded rides organised to suit all levels of rider and type of bike. For us, It’s all about the journey is more than a strapline. Even though many of our trips are linear, how we get there is as important as the destination itself. The days are organised to enable all speeds of rider to travel at their own pace, with regular social opportunities to regroup; one guide cycles with you and another drives the support van with your luggage, food supplies and providing on-hand back-up. At Pedal Nation we believe that the beautiful world we live in is best appreciated by bicycle, and we are here to make this happen. You don’t need to be the fastest rider on the shiniest bike, even though you might be. What matters to us is that you go home smiling, with lots of stories and new friends, safe in the knowledge that we can deliver your bike to and from the trip.

Experienced Friendly Guides

All of our guides are experienced cycle tourists who will encourage you all the way. Since our groups are small, you can be assured of personal support from both the cycle-guide and support driver.

Genuinely Small Groups

We believe in low impact travel, so keep our groups small (max 12, compared to some operators whose tours involve 20-30!) This means you can really get to know the other cyclists on tour!

Financial Protection

Not all cycle holiday companies are ABTOT and ABTOL registered, but we like to keep your money safe. We are fully bonded, making booking with us risk-free.

Over the years, friendly competition has emerged between guides to see who can deliver the best picnic lunch and snacks! We have also uncovered lots of great local evening restaurants, so you will eat well.

Hand-picked hotels

Because our tour numbers are small, we can usually all stay in the same hotel, again helping with group dynamics. We use a mix of chains and small personally selected local hotels.

The way we roll at Pedal Nation

We try to take a relaxed approach to our trips. ‘It’s all about the journey’ is not just a fancy strapline. We never forget you are on holiday and we do all we can to make it as enjoyable as possible, even when you are puffing your way over a French col or up a Scottish mountain.

Over 30 years of experience

Pedal Nation is an independent cycle tour operator based close to the Peak District in Sheffield and offers trips in the UK, mainland Europe and beyond.  It is the cycling arm of High Places, a fully bonded travel company who have been organising activity holidays since 1988.
